Letter to CJI: SC Justice Lalit rescues from hearing petitions against CM Jagan
Three petitions filed in the Supreme Court against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came up for hearing before the three-judge Bench led by Justice U U Lalit on Monday. However, judge Lalit has rescued himself from hearing petitions by saying that he argued on behalf of petitioners in the past.
He directed the Supreme Court Registry to post the petitions before another Bench with the permission of the Chief Justice of India (CJI). The three pleas may come up for hearing this week. Advocates Mani Kumar and Sunil Kumar, and the Anti-Corruption Council of India filed petitions against the CM for revealing the details of the CJI letter to the media.
