SC to hear contempt petition against CM Jagan on Nov 16
The Supreme Court will hear the contempt petition against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on November 16. Advocates GS Mani and Sunil Kumar Singh had filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking contempt proceedings against the AP CM for making public the contents of a letter to the Chief Justice of India.
In the petition, they raised doubt over the timing of the letter. “CM made baseless allegations against Supreme Court judge Justice NV Ramana in the letter,” they alleged. Letter written to the CJI by CM Jagan created a sensation.
