WHO chief in quarantine after contact tests positive for Covid-19
The World Health Organisation (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that he was self-quarantining after someone he was in contact with tested positive for Covid-19. Tedros tweeted, “I have been identified as a contact of someone, who has tested positive for Covid-19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with the WHO protocols, and work from home.”
The WHO chief further stated that one can break the chain of coronavirus transmission by strictly complying with health guidance. Tedros mentioned that he and his colleagues at the WHO will strive to save the lives of vulnerable people.
