AP HC refuses stay on SEC meeting with political parties
Navataram Party president Ravu Subrahmanyam has moved a house motion petition in the High Court on Tuesday night urging to give stay on an all-party meeting convened by the State Election Commission (SEC) on Wednesday for knowing the views on holding elections to local bodies.
After hearing arguments, the High Court refused to give a stay on the SEC meeting with political parties. Representatives of the recognised political parties have expressed their views on local body elections in the meeting. However, the YSRCP has skipped the meeting as the SEC did not consult the AP government ahead of the all-party meet.
