Polavaram: Minister Anil faults Chandrababu for agreeing to cap R&R to Rs 20K crore

Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav on Monday faulted former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for taking the responsibility of Polavaram Project construction, after the then Central government had declared it as a national project. Speaking to the media, the minister alleged that Chandrababu had agreed to construct the Polavaram Project for commissions. He slammed the previous TDP government for accepting to cap the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) package for Rs 20,000 crore as per the rates of 2010. Anil criticised the TDP for rendering injustice to one lakh SC and ST families to be displaced by the Polavaram Project.
