IAP recommends guidelines for reopening of city schools
HYDERABAD: In unlock 5 guidelines, the Centre left the decision of reopening the schools to the states and union territories. Now, most of the states are chalking out the strategies to reopen the schools and educational institutions following COVID-19 guidelines. Indian Academy of Paediatrics gave some recommendations to reopen the city schools.
IAP mentioned that the schools should be reopened when the local epidemiological parameters of Coronavirus are favourable. It added that the number of reporting cases steadily decrease from the past two weeks.
The new cases of the district must be below twenty from the last two weeks. Schools should be ready with preventive measures to contain the virus. School managements should divide the students into batches and shifts or alternate days. Should maintain at least one-meter distance between the students on the school premises.
