New Rule: OTP is mandatory to get LPG Cylinder from November 1
HYDERABAD: From November 1st onwards, the consumers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas needs to show One-time-password (OTP) authentication to get the home delivery of LPG cylinders. As per reports, the initiation is to identify the right consumer and to prevent the theft. After booking the gas cylinder the customer will get a code to the registered mobile number and needs to show to the delivery boy at the time of gas cylinder delivery at doorsteps.
It was started in Jaipur as a pilot project. The OTP rule will be applicable only for domestic cylinders but not for commercial. If anyone fails to provide the code to the delivery boy, the cylinder will not be delivered.
