Letter to CJI: Petition filed in SC seeking removal of Jagan from CM post
Lawyers GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav on Wednesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking removal of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from the post of chief minister for writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India making allegations against Supreme Court judge NV Ramana.
In the petition, lawyers said 30 criminal cases were registered against Jagan. The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) also expressed anger over the CM for writing the letter to the CJI. The SCAORA said that the letter is undermining the independence of the judiciary.
