Heavy rains: Taking steps to prevent human loss, says KTR
Speaking in the Legislative Council, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had reviewed the flood situation till Tuesday night. He made it clear that old buildings which are unfit for the people to stay will be demolished.
The minister stated that people living in low lying localities are being shifted to shelters set up by the state government with the support of police and town planning officials. He mentioned that arrangements were made to provide meals for two times to 80,000 people in shelter homes.
