TDP MLA Ganta likely to join YSRCP today; VMRDA chairman post promised
Former minister and TDP Visakhapatnam North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao is likely to join the YSRCP on Saturday in the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. His joining into the YSRCP was delayed because of opposition from Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai Reddy and Tourism Minister Avanthi Srinivas. According to sources, Ganta will join his son Raviteja into the YSRCP and will stay as neutral MLA to escape the Anti-Defection Law. The ruling AP government reportedly offered Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) chief post to Ganta Srinivas.
