Watch: VVIP Air India One, to be used for President & PM, arrives in Delhi
India's VVIP Boeing 777 aircraft has landed the Indira Gandhi International airport, in New Delhi on October 1, 2020. It has arrived in Delhi from the U.S. Reports suggest that this advanced means of aircraft will be used by the VVIPs like President, Vice President and Prime Minister.
Air India was supposed to get the aircraft in July, but it was delayed for a few weeks due to COVID-19 pandemic and technical reasons. India purchased two aircraft from the USA. Another will be landed during a later date.
The B777 planes have Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) and Self-Protection Suites (SPS) defence systems.
