Babri demolition case: Special CBI court to pronounce verdict today after 28 years

A special CBI court in Lucknow is all set to pronounce the verdict of Babri mosque demolition case on Wednesday. Judge SK Yadav had a week ago directed all the accused to remain present in the court when the verdict will be pronounced. The 32 accused in the case include senior BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh, and Vinay Katiyar. The Babri mosque in Ayodhya was demolished on December 6, 1992 by ‘kar sevaks’. Security has been beefed up in the city ahead of the crucial hearing.
