Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh passes away at 82
NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh passed away today morning at the age of 82. According to the reports, Jaswant Singh admitted to Delhi's Army Hospital on 25 Jun 2020 with a problem of Sepsis with multiorgan dysfunction syndrome and the complications of severe Head injury old. He died at 6:55 AM today due to the cardiac arrest. He served as finance minister, defence minister and India's foreign minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to his family and tweeted as "Jaswant Singh Ji served our nation diligently, first as a soldier and later during his long association with politics. During Atal Ji’s Government, he handled crucial portfolios and left a strong mark in the worlds of finance, defence and external affairs. Saddened by his demise."
He also tweeted as "Jaswant Singh Ji will be remembered for his unique perspective on matters of politics and society. He also contributed to the strengthening of the BJP. I will always remember our interactions. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti."
