DK Aruna & Puradeswari appointed as BJP national vice president & national general secretary
In a new political development, the BJP has announced a new team of its national office bearers. DK Aruna, the Telangana BJP leader, has been appointed to the post of National Vice-President. Daggubati Purandeswari, the senior BJP leader from Andhra Pradesh, has been appointed as a national general secretary. It is interesting to note down that the women and OBCs have got a greater representation in the party cadre. GVL failed to get a place in the national committee. Satya Kumar was retained as the chief secretary post like the previous year.
In Rayalaseema region, the Reddy community was given a chance in the state committee. Adinarayana Reddy, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and others got a place in the state committee. BJP has reportedly made a strong plan at a time when TDP seems to be losing its political hold in the state.
