Coronavirus: Scientists identify new mutations of virus, evolving into more contagious?
At a time when the Coronavirus pandemic continues to baffle the Scientist all across the globe, another study reveals that one of the coronavirus mutations may have made it more contagious. Reports suggest that Scientists in Houston have found new modifications of the novel coronavirus. They have unveiled a proper examination of over 5,000 genetic sequences of COVID-19, which reveals the continuous accumulation of virus mutations.
However, the study has not made it clear whether these mutations made the virus deadlier or impacted the disease's clinical outcomes. No vaccine has been approved yet to date for widespread use against the coronavirus.
