AP High Court extends status quo on three capitals; day-to-day hearing from Oct 5
Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday extended the status quo on two new laws for three capitals till October 5. So far, 93 petitions were filed against decentralisation of AP capital in the High Court. Day-to-day hearing was supposed to start from today (September 21) on the instructions of the Supreme Court but it was adjourned to October 5 because of the coronavirus. The High Court would hear arguments of government advocates and petitioners in person from October 5. Even, the petitions related to construction of a guest house by the AP government in Visakhapatnam was also adjourned to October 5.
