Opposition parties moved No-Confidence Motion against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman
Opposition parties have moved 'No-Confidence Motion' against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh on September 20th. The incident took place after the deputy chairman of Rajya Sabha has ignored and overruled opposition pleas for postponing Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar's reply to the debate on the two farm bills till Monday. The opposition parties have faulted how these bills have been passed against democratic processes.
TRS MPs Nama Nageswar Rao and K Keshav Rao, while talking to media later, have alleged that the BJP bulldozed the democratic principles to pass the two bills, i.e. the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill.
