Chalo Amalapuram: Somu Veerraju, other BJP leaders under house arrest
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh police house arrested Bharatiya Janata Party state president Somu Veerrajuand Kanna Lakshminarayana after they ready to go to Amalapuram to stage protest against the attacks on Hindu temples. According to the reports, BJP leader Somu Veerraju gave a call for 'Chalo Amalapuram' to stage protest in front of RDO office after Antarvedi temple chariot fire mishap and attacks on other Hindu temples.
Police imposed section 30 and 144 in Amalapuram. BJP, Janasena and other Hindu organisations staging protests against attacks on Hindu temples. BJP leader Somu Veerraju asaid that house arrests nothing but an act of suppression. Police said no permission for any activities in the city due to the COVID situation and strict actions will take on against those who violate the rules.
