Commuters bear the brunt of non-resumption of RTC services between Telugu states
The deadlock over resumption of bus services between two Telugu states is still continuing as the TSRTC and APSRTC failed to arrive at consensus over covering of kilometres. At present, the APSRTC is covering 2.65 kilometres in Telangana territory and the TSRTC buses covering 1.52 lakh km in Andhra Pradesh.
The TSRTC wants the APSRTC to reduce the coverage of km in Telangana further. Meanwhile, the APSRTC has proposed to run 70,000 km each by both corporations till an amicable solution is arrived at. Taking advantage of the situation, private operators are fleecing commuters.
