AstraZeneca-Oxford University Covid-19 vaccine phase 3 trial paused
The third phase trial of the coronavirus vaccine being produced jointly by the Oxford University and drugmaker AstraZeneca was put on hold after a participant in the UK developed an adverse reaction. The decision to pause stage 3 trial was taken to ensure the vaccine to be foolproof, said the Oxford University.
After completing the phase 3 trial, the scientists at Oxford University have planned to roll out delivery of Covid vaccine in October this year. Most likely, there might be a delay in releasing the vaccine into the public by putting stage 3 trial on hold.
