P. Suresh, son of former Minister Penumatsa Sambasiva Raju, has been offered an MLC seat, which was recently vacated by Mopidevi Venkataramana as he was elected to Rajya Sabha recently.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has offered the post to Suresh after the death of Sambasiva Raju on Tuesday. Reports suggest that Sambasiva Raju is a loyal person, and he was associated with the YSRCP since its inception.
P Suresh is a doctor by profession, and he was earlier given the ticket for Nellimarla MLA seat in 2014, he lost due to few votes. In 2019, the YSRCP high command, offered a Nellimarla MLA seat to B Appala Naidu, a family member of Botsa Satyanarayana, as part of the social equation.
After the party comes into power, Penumatsa Sambasiva Rao hoped for a post, but it could not be offered the same due to the social equation. In the meantime, he died. CM Jagan, as part of it, tried to do justice by offering an MLC seat to his son P Suresh.
