Amaravati JAC writes to Amit Shah over central govt response on three capitals
Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three capital proposals at Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, and Amaravati, have changed the state's political scenario.
Amaravati JAC Chairman GVR Shastri, who is also the National General Secretary of the ‘Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha’, wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah him to protect Amaravati’s interests.
Amaravati JAC has earlier objected to the central home ministry officials, who submitted affidavits in the High Court, stating that the central government has no role in the state’s business to locate its capital and other aspects of the decentralization of the administration. Amaravati JAC has alleged that such affidavits violate the constitution of India.
