World's highest railway bridge over Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir
The world's highest railway bridge is coming over the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir. Reports suggest the construction of the bridge will complete by the end of the year 2020. The bridge will then connect the valley with the rest of India by train for the first time. The central span of the bridge is 467 metres.
The bridge is 1.3-kilometre-long in length. According to the reports, the bridge is being built at the height of 359 metres, more than the height of Qutab Minar(72 metres) and that of the Eiffel Tower in Paris(324 metres). It is going to be the tallest railway bridge in the world.
