NEW DELHI: Congress senior leader Shashi Tharoor wondered why the Union Home Minister Amit Shah opted for a private hospital in a neighbouring state instead of state-run All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital for Coronavirus treatment. It is known that Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after testing positive for Coronavirus.
Shashi Tharoor replied to a tweet as "True. Wonder why our Home Minister, when ill, chose not to go to AIIMS but to a private hospital in a neighbouring state. Public institutions need the patronage of the powerful if they are to inspire public confidence." Click the video for more information.
