KCR govt planned for 7 lakh antigen tests in the state

Due to growing criticism from the various quarters, including the High Court, the Telangana government decided to speed up the tests. It is all set to ramp up tests targeting for 7 lakh antigen tests in the state to contain coronavirus. Reports suggest that the tests will be conducted at the district headquarters hospitals and also primary health centres (PHCs).
The state government has brought 2 lakh antigen kits in the first phase and carried out 65,000 tests in the state. In the second phase, 3 lakh and in the last phase 2 lakh antigen kits will be brought to carry out the tests.
Antigen tests give the results in just 30 minutes compared with other tests.
