Indian-origin woman wins top nursing honour in Singapore. Here's why

Kala Narayanasamy, an Indian-origin woman, got President's award for COVID services in Singapore. She was honoured with the Singapore President's award for her services towards nursing. It is the highest accolade in the nursing profession.
A 59-year-old Indian-origin nurse is the Deputy Director of Nursing at Woodlands Health Campus. She has used her experience from the 2003 outbreak of SARS and served on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was awarded a certificate signed by President Halimah Yacob, a trophy and SGD 10,000 (USD 7,228).
