COVID-19 hits Hyderabad real estate market
The real estate sector in Hyderabad has been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the latest survey report, the sale of housing units decreased by 43 percent in Hyderabad during the first six months of 2020 compared to the corresponding period last year. The outbreak of the deadly coronavirus and the subsequent national lockdown period harmed the reviving Hyderabad residential market.
The new survey suggests that the number of new housing units launched in the first half of 2020 decreased by 19 percent. Four thousand seven hundred eighty-two housing units were sold in Hyderabad during January and June 2020. In the same period last year, 8,334 units were sold.
