Varavara Rao tests positive for coronavirus
Activist and revolutionary poet Varavara Rao has been found coronavirus positive, reports suggested on Thursday. Varavara Rao, who is in jail in connection with the Bhima Koregaon violence case, has been shifted to Mumbai's JJ Hospital after his ill-health.
The 81-year old was tested corona positive when the doctors performed various tests. The family members have expressed their concerns and worried about his declining health since some time now. They have also applied for the bail, but it was not considered yet.
The activist has been lodged at the Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai for almost two years in the Bhima Koregaon violence case.
