HRD Minister releases guidelines for online education ‘Pragyata’
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has released the guidelines for online education ‘Pragyata.’ The minister said there is a need to introduce the right method of delivering quality education through a combination of schooling at home and teaching at school. PRAGYATA guidelines have been prepared by the HRD Ministry to see that the students' safety and academic welfare can be ensured.
The ministry has recommended that for Pre Primary education, online interaction of not more than 30 minutes is advisable. For classes of 1 to 8, the online synchronous learning for not more than two sessions of 30-45 minutes each on the days is recommended. For classes 9 to 12, the online synchronous learning for not more than four sessions of 30-45 minutes each on the days is recommended,
