For the first time in India, CM KCR led the Telangana government to send home isolation kits to Covid-19 patients as part of the home quarantine. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting headed by the state health minister Etela Rajender with the health department's authorities.
The home isolation kit includes antibiotics, masks, sanitizers, and the necessary medicines that will be delivered to Covid-19 patients at their residences. The health officials will be in touch with the home isolation persons, and also a toll-free number has been provided.
The new measures have come into force after the opposition parties' growing criticism against the government for its alleged failure to handle the pandemic.
