MUMBAI: The World Health Organisation praised the efforts of the Maharashtra government and Centre for containing the spreading of Coronavirus in Mumbai's Dharavi, which is Asia's largest slum in which more than 10 lakh people resides.
The WHO took to Twitter and tweeted as "There are many many examples from around the world that have shown that even if the #COVID19 outbreak is very intense, it can still be brought back under control."
It also tweeted as "In Italy, Spain and South Korea,& even in Dharavi, a densely packed area in Mumbai, a strong focus on community engagement & the basics of testing, tracing, isolating & treating all those that are sick is key to breaking the chains of transmission & suppressing the virus"[email protected]
