Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have asked the federal courts to block the Trump administration’s order to strip international college students of their US visas if their courses go entirely online because of the coronavirus crisis. However, the US government remained unphased despite facing lawsuits from top universities over its decision to bar visas for foreign students taking only online courses. The US Press Secretary has said that a better lawsuit would be from students who have to pay full tuition fees without in-person classes and not from universities.
