As there are little concerns about coronavirus being airborne, as the news surfaced recently, Shekhar Mande, the Director-General of Central Science Industrial Research reacted to a national media. He has made his version clear that coronavirus is not an airborne disease and added that, the virus could travel in the air for a few feet in the form of an aerosol.
Shekhar Mande said the virus could spread as an aerosol through cough or sneeze of a patient at a specific distance and persons coming across might contract the virus.
Earlier, 239 scientists in 32 countries told the WHO that smaller airborne particles could infect people and asked the world health body to revise the recommendations.
