Visakha gas leak: Inquiry begins on accident - Tv9

The gas leakage incident taking place at the Sainor Life Sciences Private Limited at JN Pharma City in Parawada claimed the lives of two persons. Shift Incharge Narendra and chemist Gauri Shankar lost their lives due to inhaling the poisonous gas in the leakage incident. Four persons Chandra Sekhar, Janaki Ram, Anand Babu, and Suryanarayana were taken seriously ill. They got immediately shifted to a Hospital.
The state government has directed forming a committee of four officials for conducting a probe. Collector Vinay Chand has appointed four officials, namely RDO Kishore, Deputy Controller of industries Prasad, Pollution control board of engineer Dr. Prasad Rao, and District Industries Centre (DIC) general manager Ram Lingeswar Rao. On the other hand, the police officials began an investigation after filing the case.
AP CM YS Jagan has directed the health officials to treat the affected people in the best possible means.
BJP MLC Madhav has demanded a compensation amount of Rs 1 crore to the family members of victims and Rs 25 lakhs for seriously ill. TDP leader Bandaru Satyanarayana has also faulted the ruling party, alleging that it has taken the incident lightly in the wake of two persons' death.
