Centre asks Patanjali to stop advertising COVID-19 therapy
NEW DELHI: The Central government asked the Ramdev’s Patanjali to stop advertising the Ayurvedic Corona medicine which was announced recently. According to the sources, the Ayush Ministry said that they don't have the knowledge of the scientific study of the drug and asked Patanjali to stop advertising the Ayurvedic Corona therapies without submitting the scientific study to it.
Ayush Ministry said to Patanjali that the advertisements of drugs including Ayurvedic are regulated under the provisions of Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. Earlier, Patanjali launched the Ayurvedic medicine to treat the Coronavirus and claimed that it will cure the virus within 14 days.
