Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar to meet AP Governor

On the advice of legal experts, former State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has decided to meet AP Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan soon. The AP High Court gave verdict reinstating Ramesh Kumar as the SEC by striking the ordinance issued by the AP government to reduce the tenure of the SEC.
But the state government has challenged the High Court verdict in the Supreme Court. As the HC verdict has made it clear that the Governor alone can appoint the SEC, Ramesh will be requesting the Governor to reinstate him as the SEC.
