Employees from a decorating company in China’s Guizhou province were forced to eat live earthworms after failing to meet their sales target. Two of the company managers were detained for five days after the employee exposed the incident online. Managers gave two options for not meeting the sales target. One option was to pay 70 US dollars and buy breakfast for their colleagues or eat the worms. But most employees thought the cost was too high and chose to eat worms. However, the managers thought the punishment of asking employees to eat worms was fair.
