Tropical storm Nisarga, which intensified into a severe cyclonic storm this morning, has made landfall on the Maharashtra coast. This is the second cyclone to strike India in two weeks and the first such storm that will impact Mumbai-the worst-hit city in the country by coronavirus-in over 100 years. The Indian Meteorological Department said that the landfall process has started and it will be completed during the next three hours. The BMC already issued do’s and don’ts for the citizens to be followed during the cyclone landfall. The civic body asked residents to store drinking water and stay away from windows.
