AP government appoints Vani Mohan as Secretary of State Election Commission
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh government appointed IAS G Vani Mohan as the secretary of State Election Commission on Saturday. According to the sources, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Nilam Sawhney issued orders transferring and appointing Vani Mohan as secretary of State Election Commission. Vani Mohan is an IAS officer from 1996 batch. She was serving as Commissioner, Co-operation and Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Co-operative Federation. She was also serving as Commissioner, Archaeology, and Museums.
Earlier, AG Sriram objected the circular of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar cited that it is illegal and said that the HC had not asked him not to take the charge as SEC, later Ramesh Kumar withdrawn the circular. Click the video for more information.
