1100-Year-Old sandstone Shivalinga found by ASI in Vietnam

The Archaeological Survey of India excavated a monolithic sandstone Shiva Linga in Vietnam. According to the sources, ASI on Wednesday unearthed a Shiva Linga dated back to 1,100-year-old at Cham Temple Complex. It is learnt that another six Shiva Linga's were also excavated in the My Son Temple Complex. According to historians, the temple was constructed in the 9th Century A.D. during the reign of Indravaraman II.
Now, during the conservation works at the dilapidated temple complex, ASI members discovered the stunning sandstone Shiva Linga. External Affairs minister Jaishankar praised the discovery of ASI and recalled his memory of a visit to the temple complex. Click the video for more information.
