Telangana mother, baby die after hospitals refuse care over COVID-19 fear - NDTv

A woman in Telangana and her newborn child died due to negligence of the doctors. It is alleged that a pregnant woman in Telangana was reportedly refused treatment by six doctors with the suspicion that she is a corona patient. The state government has said in a report to the Telangana High Court after the state human rights commission also interfered with the incident.
Reports suggest that Janeela was first taken to the primary healthcare center in Rajoli. Later on, she was shifted to the Gadwal district hospital. From there, she was sent to the Mahabubnagar district hospital, followed by the Government Maternity Hospital in Sultan Bazaar. Later she was sent to the Gandhi Hospital for the COVID-19 test. She was found negative.
From there, she was sent to the Petlaburj Maternity Hospital, where she gave birth to a baby boy on April 25. The baby was shifted to the Niloufer hospital the next day, where he died. The mother, who was moved to the Osmania Hospital, died a day later.
