Central govt condemns lockdown extension rumours

Union Home Ministry has condemned the rumours of extending lockdown by two more weeks after May 31. In a press release, the Home Ministry officials said that no decision was taken yet on the extension of lockdown. The Central government made an appeal to people not to believe in rumours.
There are high chances of the Union government announcing a separate action plan to stop the spread of coronavirus in the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Surat and Indore. Around 70 per cent cases in India are being reported in these cities.
