Hockey legend Balbir Singh Sr passes away at 95
Indian hockey legend Balbir Singh Senior has breathed his last at the age of 95. Three-time Olympic gold medal died on Monday after struggling for multiple health disorders for the previous two weeks. The Padma Shri awardee is survived by his daughter Sushbir and three sons Kanwalbir, Karanbir, and Gurbir.
Reports suggest that the triple-Olympic champion Balbir Senior had a blood clot in his brain and he was in a semi-comatose state for some time. The hockey legend was first admitted to the hospital for bronchial pneumonia with a high fever.
