No hike in bus ticket charges says APSRTC MD
APSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director (MD) D Madireddy Pratap said on Wednesday that the Corporation is not increasing the bus fares. He mentioned that 1,683 RTC buses will be plying from Thursday onwards.
The RTC will allow its full fleet of buses to ply on roads in a phased manner, he added. “We will run the RTC buses with half of their capacities from every depot,” he said and stated that the RTC will not run air-conditioned buses and city buses in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. To a question, the MD said that the APSRTC will ply buses to other states after receiving consent.
