Ambulance drivers' rivalry results in patient's death at Ruia in Tirupati - Tv9

A patient by name Venkatappa died on the premises of the Ruia Hospital in Tirupati on Tuesday because of ambulance drivers. According to police, family members decided to shift Venkatappa from Ruia to another hospital for better treatment. The ambulance drivers tied up with the Ruia Hospital have demanded Rs 8,500 for shifting the patient.
As the amount was too high, they hired a private ambulance for a lesser price. But the ambulance drivers assaulted the driver of the private ambulance and did not allow shifting of Venkatappa to another hospital for an hour. He died due to shortage of oxygen. Based on the complaint, Alipiri police registered a case against three drivers.
