Thousands of migrant workers gather at Bandra railway station
MUMBAI: Thousands of migrant workers thronged to Mumbai's Bandra railway station to catch the Shramik rail to reach their home towns during the lockdown crisis. According to the inputs, the migrants were informed that special Shramik trains will be running to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for migrants. It is also said that the migrants received calls from police station over the special trains from Mumbai railway station. The issue flared up after thousands of migrant workers reached the railway station to catch the train.
Railway officials said that only the workers who registered earlier will be allowed into the station. According to the reports, police arrested four persons for spreading rumours over the special trains to the migrants. Click the video for more information.
