Gas leak in East Godavari dist: Villagers run for life

Villagers of Vishveshwarayapuram in Malikipuram mandal in East Godavari district ran for life after Ammonia gas leaked from Venkateswara ice factory on Monday evening. They have complained of pain in eyes and itching on noses.
The gas leakage incident at LG Polymers on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam fresh in their mind, some villagers with their families ran for life. The police and revenue officials vacated people living close to the ice factory. The firefighters arrived on the spot and closed the values of pipe from where the gas is leaking.
