AIIMS chief claims Covid-19 pandemic yet to peak in India
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Director Randeep Guleria has claimed that coronavirus will hit its peak in India in June-July. He emphasized that lockdown has had a huge impact in containing the spread of the deadly virus but the peak is yet to come.
The AIIMS director added that the maximum number of Covid-19 cases are being reported from the hotspots. He stressed on the need for implementation of aggressive containment measures to stop the spread of virus in hotspots. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has attributed to the rise of coronavirus cases in India as more tests are being done on a daily basis.
