Vizag Gas leak: PM Modi chairs NDMA meet- Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah present
The toxic gas leak in one of the chemical plants in Visakhapatnam has shocked the entire nation. The people of the five villages have been evacuated near the chemical plant. PM Modi has chaired the National Disaster Management Authority(NDMA) meet in which the defense minister Rajnath Singh, home minister Amit Shah and the officials of NDMA have participated. PM Modi is in constant touch with AP CM YS Jagan, who has headed to the Visakha city to take stock of the situation.
Reports suggest that eight people have been killed in the gas leak incident and several hundred affected due to inhalation of the toxic gas.
