The controversy over the letter written by the former State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar to the Union Home Ministry has taken a new turn as the forensic report revealed that the letter was not drafted in the SEC’s office. The report was submitted to the AP CID after analysing the data found in the laptop and desktop of Ramesh Kumar’s Personal Secretary Sambamurthy.
During the probe, Sambamurthy had confessed to AP CID sleuths that the letter was prepared in the office of the SEC. As the forensic report contradicted his statement, CID chief Sunil Kumar said that Sambamurthy had given the wrong statement. Now, the CID will focus on the probe to know where the letter has originated.
